It's playoff time, and Fruita Monument had no trouble coming through when it counted. They blew past the Liberty Lancers, posting a 73-40 win. The victory was familiar territory for the Wildcats, who have now won 11 contests in a row.

It was another big night for Jhett Wells, who went 8-for-10 from beyond the arc on his way to 36 points along with seven boards and five steals. What's more, he also posted an 80% three-point shooting accuracy, which is the highest he's achieved since back in January of 2024. Another player making a difference was Daniel Thomason, who shot 50% from the field en route to 14 points in addition to seven assists and six rebounds.

Fruita Monument was working as a unit and finished the game with 23 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Fruita Monument's win was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 20-4. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.5 points over those games. As for Liberty, their loss dropped their record down to 17-7.

Looking ahead, Fruita Monument will head out to square off against ThunderRidge at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in ThunderRidge's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last 12 games. Liberty does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
