Eastridge hasn't had much luck against Irondequoit recently, but that could start to change on Saturday. The Lancers will be playing at home against the Eagles at 4:00 p.m. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Eastridge 1.6, Irondequoit 3.4) so any runs scored will be well earned.
Eastridge is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 13 runs on Wednesday, they were much more limited against Greece Olympia/Greece Odyssey on Friday. They fell just short of Greece Olympia/Greece Odyssey by a score of 3-2. The matchup marked the Lancers' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.
Xzavier Hughey was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he pitched five innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. What's more, he gave up only three walks, the fewest he's had since back in April of 2025.
At the plate, Eastridge saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Nolan O'Neill, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI and one double. That double was O'Neill's first of the season. Peyton Kispert was another, going 1-for-3 with one run and one double.
Meanwhile, Irondequoit entered their tilt with Penfield on Friday with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. They had just enough and edged out the Patriots 9-7. While the Eagles didn't have the best season last year (they finished 4-12), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.
Tommy VanGorder was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one double. Those four hits gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Nathaniel Jones, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
Irondequoit kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.
Irondequoit's win bumped their record up to 7-2. As for Eastridge, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 8-1.
