East Rowan won the last time they faced Hickory Ridge and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Mustangs came out on top against the Bulls by a score of 4-1. Winning may never get old, but the Mustangs sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

East Rowan got a great performance from Zach Misenheimer as he pitched 5.2 innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. Misenheimer has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances.

At the plate, East Rowan saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Holden Frick, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

East Rowan's record is now 15-3. As for Hickory Ridge, the defeat snapped their winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 13-2 record.

East Rowan and Hickory Ridge should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps North Carolina Rankings. The Mustangs (ranked 50th) will meet Carson (ranked 250th) at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Hickory Ridge will challenge A.L. Brown at 6:30 p.m. on Friday with a big rank advantage (21 vs. 124).
