Baseball Game Preview: Pryor Tigers vs. Memorial Chargers

Pryor is a perfect 5-0 against Memorial since April of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Tigers will host the Chargers at 11:00 a.m. The timing is sure in Pryor's favor as the squad sits on five straight wins at home while Memorial has been banged up by 11 consecutive losses on the road.

Pryor's pitching crew heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Monday. They put the hurt on Coweta with a sharp 9-0 win. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Gavin Roberts was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

In other pitching news, Chase Johnson looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.

Back at the plate, Brock Ward was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. Another player making a difference was Jaron Bailey, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with three RBI and one stolen base.

Meanwhile, Memorial lost 10-3 to Nathan Hale on Friday.

Pryor is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 24-11 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.5 runs over those games. As for Memorial, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-26.
