Tri-City was handed a heart-breaking two-run defeat in their last matchup, but they sure didn't let that happen against Lincolnwood on Tuesday. The Tornadoes' pitchers stepped up to hand the Lancers a 9-0 shutout. Considering the Tornadoes have won four contests by more than eight runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Tri-City's win bumped their record up to 5-2-1. As for Lincolnwood, they moved to 10-11 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Coming up, Tri-City will square off against North Greene at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Tornadoes are facing the Spartans at the right time seeing as the Spartans are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Lincolnwood, they have already played their next game, a 12-3 defeat against Pleasant Plains on the 2nd.
