Volleyball Recap: Forge Christian's Winning Streak Snapped at 15 Games

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Forge Christian couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They lost 3-0 to the Village Mountaineers on Thursday. The Fury's defeat signaled the end of their 15-game winning streak.

Finley Queen paced Forge Christian's offense, picking up nine kills. Queen got some help from Abby Nance and her 22 assists. Maddie Saba and Genevieve Leonardi kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with three aces apiece.

Dylan Teague had an outrageously good game for Village as she had 16 digs and four aces. That's the most aces Teague has posted since back in October.

Forge Christian's loss dropped their record down to 22-4. As for Village, the victory was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record up to 20-7.

Forge Christian wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-1 win against Aspen on the 14th. As for Village, they have also already played their next match, a 3-1 defeat against Alamosa on the 14th.
