Volleyball Recap: North Murray Takes a Loss

North Murray extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to 11 on Saturday, dropping them down to 0-7. They fell 2-0 to the Southeast Whitfield County Raiders. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Mountaineers of the 2-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2023.

Their offense was headlined by Ella Headrick and Bentley Ramirez, who picked up three kills apiece. They got some help from Taylor Whaley and her seven assists.

As for Southeast Whitfield County, the victory got them back to even at 3-3. The win was nothing new for the Raiders as they're now sitting on three straight.

Jacqueline Lopez was the offensive standout of the game as she had six aces and three digs. Those six aces gave her a new career-high.

North Murray didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against Adairsville on the 16th. As for Southeast Whitfield County, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-1 loss against Kell on the 16th.
