Baseball Recap: Elba Has No Trouble Against Red Level

Elba barely beat Red Level the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. Elba put the hurt on Red Level with a sharp 19-8 win on Friday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Elba.

Elba let Easton McKelvy and Jay Wilson run wild. McKelvy went 4-for-5 with four runs, one stolen base, and one double, while Wilson went 5-for-6 with four runs, two stolen bases, and one RBI. Those four hits gave McKelvy a new career-high. Jaden Baker was another key player, going 2-for-5 with two triples, two RBI, and one run.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Elba kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 19 hits. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their hit total in four consecutive games.

Elba now has a winning record of 11-10. As for Red Level, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-12.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Elba will welcome Georgiana at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Red Level, they will look to defend their home field on Monday against Samson at 4:30 p.m.
