Baseball Game Preview: Adams Central Flying Jets vs. Heritage Patriots

Adams Central hasn't had much luck against Heritage recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Flying Jets will welcome the Patriots at 5:30 p.m.

Adams Central fell victim to Norwell and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They came up short against the Knights, falling 10-0. The Flying Jets have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Heritage came tearing into Wednesday's matchup with ten straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8.7 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the Braves.

Heritage's win was truly a team effort as six different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Max Mirelez, who went 2-for-3 with one run.

Heritage's victory bumped their record up to 12-1. As for Adams Central, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-8.

Thursday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Adams Central hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .327. However, it's not like Heritage struggles in that department as they've averaged .388. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
