Marion proved they can win big on Saturday (they won by three) and on Monday they proved they can win the close ones too. They won by a goal and slipped past the Peru Tigers 2-1. The victory was nothing new for Marion as they're now sitting on five straight.

Jayme Hardwick was the driving force of Marion's attack as she scored both of Marion's goals, bringing her season total up to 24 goals.

Marion's win bumped their record up to 9-5-1. As for Peru, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-7 record this season.

Marion will host Huntington North at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Peru, they will head out on the road to square off against Manchester at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Manchester's last three contests have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
