Allyson Wolfson was a standout: she got on base in all five of her plate appearances with four runs, five RBI, and two doubles. Those five RBI gave her a new career-high. Veronica Franzino was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing three bases while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances.
Carrollton School of the Sacred Heart kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Ransom Everglades only managed four hits.
Meanwhile, after a string of six wins, Somerset Academy South Homestead's good fortune finally ran out on Wednesday. They fell just short of Gulliver Prep by a score of 11-10.
Isabella Azevedo made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole two bases while going 3-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Jazelyn Bermudez, who went 1-for-4 with one triple, one stolen base, and two RBI.
Carrollton School of the Sacred Heart has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.4 runs on average over those games.
