Basketball Recap: Fairfield Picks Up 14th Consecutive Win

Fairfield put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past the Belt Huskies 64-16. That looming 64-16 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Eagles yet this season.

Fairfield's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Israel Perez, who went 6 of 7 en route to 14 points and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Deron Lear, who posted six points along with nine assists and five steals.

Fairfield was working as a unit and finished the game with 20 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Fairfield's win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-0. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.5 points per game. As for Belt, their loss ended a six-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 8-3.
