Basketball Game Preview: Doral Academy Firebirds vs. Miami Stingarees

Doral Academy will head into Wednesday's match hoping to keep the good times rolling: they had to skate by with only a three-point margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the 61-point drubbing they dealt Booker T. Washington on Wednesday. Doral Academy blew past Booker T. Washington, posting a 77-16 win. The Firebirds have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven games by 24 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Miami made easy work of Sunset on Thursday and carried off an 83-62 victory. Given the Stingarees' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 15th, while the Knights are ranked 574th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Miami is also on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten contests, which provided a nice bump to their 19-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.0 points per game. As for Doral Academy, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-5.
