Basketball Recap: Owens Valley Comes Up Short at Home Against Mojave

Owens Valley unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They were outmatched by the Mojave Mustangs and fell 46-18. The Cubs just can't catch a break and have now endured 12 defeats in a row dating back to last season.

Several Cubs players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Kevin Glenn, who posted seven points in addition to six rebounds and five steals. Another player making a difference was Mark Glenn, who had four points and five steals.

Mojave's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-2.

Owens Valley wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 46-30 loss against Baker on the 11th. As for Mojave, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, an 84-27 defeat against Arvin on the 10th.
