Baseball Game Preview: St. John-Endicott/LaCrosse vs. Dayton Bulldogs

Steven Campbell and Loren Loomis did some serious damage despite the final result: Campbell went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI, while Loomis got on base in two of his three plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs. Loomis has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times he's played. Jeff Mackey was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base.

DeSales hit Dayton with a four-run fourth inning on Friday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Bulldogs lost 10-1 to the Irish. The Bulldogs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

St. John-Endicott/LaCrosse's defeat dropped their record down to 2-13. As for Dayton, their loss dropped their record down to 7-6.

St. John-Endicott/LaCrosse suffered a grim 17-5 defeat to Dayton in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. Can St. John-Endicott/LaCrosse avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
