Basketball Recap: Make It Five in a Row for Green Hill

Green Hill entered their tilt with Station Camp on Tuesday with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. They walked away with a 60-47 victory over the Station Camp Bison. Given the Hawks' advantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 75th, while the Bison are ranked 213th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Leading Green Hill to victory were Kataira Tolbert and Sullie Gerik. Tolbert went 8 of 9 en route to 18 points and seven boards, while Gerik went 7 for 10 on her way to 15 points along with six assists and three steals. That's the most steals Gerik has posted since back in November of 2024. Another player making a difference was Willa Heilman, who posted four points in addition to six assists and three steals.

They weren't the only one working in the assists department: Green Hill was working as a unit and finished the game with 22 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Green Hill pushed their record up to 14-8 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Station Camp, they have also traveled a rocky road recently having lost seven of their last eight matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-10 record this season.

Green Hill will look to defend their home court on Friday against Hendersonville at 6:00 p.m. As for Station Camp, they and Gallatin will face off at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday without much rest having both just played. Station Camp is facing Gallatin at the right time seeing as Gallatin is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
