Volleyball Recap: Mitchell Comes Up Short

Mitchell was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hershey Panthers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Tigers of the 3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in August of 2022.

Kate Pieper paced Mitchell's offense, picking up seven kills. Pieper got some help from Lucille Coley and her eight assists.

Mitchell's loss dropped their record down to 4-24. As for Hershey, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 17-9 record this season.

Mitchell didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-1 victory against Kimball on the 18th. As for Hershey, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against Perkins County on the 18th.
