While Fremd's win against Buffalo Grove wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Vikings narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Bison 5-4. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Vikings have posted since April 11th.

Fremd has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-6 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.5 runs over those games. As for Buffalo Grove, their loss dropped their record down to 9-11.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Fremd is set to square off against their familiar foe Prospect at 4:45 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Buffalo Grove will take on rival Conant at 4:45 p.m. on Thursday.
