Volleyball Game Preview: Highland Tech Rams vs. Draughn Wildcats

The Highland Tech Rams are taking a road trip to square off against the Draughn Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

On Tuesday, Highland Tech got the win against Lincolnton by a conclusive 3-0. The win continues a trend for the Rams in their matchups with the Wolves: they've now won five in a row.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Highland Tech took every set by at least 11 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-14, 25-10.

Meanwhile, Draughn made easy work of Chase on Tuesday and carried off a 3-0 victory.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-7, 25-13.

Draughn's win bumped their record up to 15-5. As for Highland Tech, their victory bumped their record up to 17-3.

Highland Tech took their win against Draughn in their previous meeting back in October of 2024 by a conclusive 3-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Rams since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
