Softball Game Preview: Pass Christian Pirates vs. Biloxi Indians

The Pass Christian Pirates will take on the Biloxi Indians at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Pass Christian is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak.

Pass Christian fell victim to Gulfport and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They lost 12-0 to the Admirals. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Pirates have suffered since April 26, 2024.

Meanwhile, Biloxi hadn't done well against Vancleave recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. Biloxi put the hurt on Vancleave with a sharp 10-4 win. Considering the Indians have won three contests by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Kya Gammons spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and two unearned) runs on six hits.

On the hitting side, Biloxi got a big performance out of Aubrey Atchison, who went 1-for-5 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. Another player making a difference was Imani Shannon, who scored a run while going 3-for-5.

Biloxi kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Vancleave only managed six hits.

Biloxi has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season. Pass Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 5-3.
