Basketball Recap: Wabash Gets the Win

Madison-Grant came into Saturday's contest looking for another win against Wabash, but Treyce Daughtry wouldn't allow it. The Apaches were the clear victors by a 71-47 margin over the Argylls on Saturday thanks in part to Daughtry, who went 11-for-19 on his way to 27 points and four steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Wabash's points.

Another player making a difference was Davon Osborn, who posted 13 points in addition to five boards and three steals. He is becoming a predictor of Wabash's success: when he posts at least three steals the team is undefeated (and 2-8 when he doesn't).

Wabash's win bumped their record up to 5-8. As for Madison-Grant, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-9.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Wabash will venture away from home to square off against Northwestern at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Madison-Grant, they will head out to face off against Eastbrook at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
