Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Saint Mary walked away with it. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Pinole Valley Spartans on Thursday, sneaking past 3-2. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 2-0 last Friday.

Saint Mary's hit Pinole Valley with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Emmett Bates, Fabian Sanchez, and Colm Gallagher.

Saint Mary's now has a winning record of 7-6-2. As for Pinole Valley, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-8-5.

As of now, neither Saint Mary's nor Pinole Valley have any future games scheduled.
