Belleville/Albany's Jacob Kowalski recorded the longest rushing play in Capitol - South this season in his game against Cambridge last week. Kowalski scampered for 53 yards on the play and finished with 178 on the day as his team fell to the Bluejays.
Marshall extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Waterloo, 23-7. The win marks fourth in a row for the the Cardinals.
Jack Nett was the most productive running back in the league this week. He ran for 190 yards on 26 carries as Cambridge defeated Belleville/Albany. David Jensen also contributed to the rushing game with 96 yards on the ground.
Jarlsberg was the best wideout in Capitol - South this week as Mike Klingbeil's team defeated Barry Lengfeld's team. Jarlsberg racked up one reception for 43 yards. Liam Ripp helped Cambridge's passing attack out by catching one ball for 29 yards.
Tanner Wallom put up the best numbers through the air as the Wildcats lost to the Bluejays. He finished with a total of three completions for 25 yards and two touchdowns. Wallom's favorite target this week was Garrison Woods, who caught one pass for 11 yards.
6-foot-1 quarterback Wallom of Belleville/Albany is the league leader in passing yards this season with 637. He has also thrown five touchdowns. On the ground, Cambridge's Nett has rushed for 883 yards which leads the league. The leading receiver in the league this season is Jarlsberg. The Cambridge star has 14 catches for 277 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when New Glarus/Monticello takes on the Wildcats. As it stands, the Glarner Knights are in first, while Belleville/Albany is in fifth.
New Glarus/Monticello led the league in scoring this week after putting up 55 points on Wisconsin Heights.
