Basketball Game Preview: Buffalo Bison vs. Logan Wildcats

The Buffalo Bison will venture away from home to face off against the Logan Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Buffalo is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 52 points per game this season.

Buffalo was handed a heart-breaking three-point loss in their last game, but they sure didn't let that happen against Braxton County on Thursday. The Bison blew past the Eagles 56-30. The Bison have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four matchups by 25 points or more this season.

Brooke Woods was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double with 20 points and 14 boards. Woods is also crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Cammi Samples, who shot 45% from the field on her way to 14 points.

Buffalo smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 23 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 13 offensive boards in eight consecutive contests.

Meanwhile, Logan ended up a good deal behind Wyoming East on Thursday and lost 62-47. While the Wildcats didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Warriors 15-5 in the first quarter.

Logan's defeat dropped their record down to 8-4. As for Buffalo, their win bumped their record up to 9-3.

Buffalo suffered a grim 59-35 defeat to Logan when the teams last played back in March of 2025. Can the Bison avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
