Football Recap: Molina Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Molina extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to five on Friday, dropping them down to 0-4. They had to suffer through a 57-7 loss at the hands of the Creekview Mustangs. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Jaguars of the 70-21 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

As for Creekview, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 4-0. Fans of they have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 20+ points.

Cason Garcia was his usual excellent self, throwing for 203 yards and three touchdowns while completing 86.7% of his passes, and also rushing for 73 yards and one TD on only five carries. Garcia is crushing it when it comes to passing touchdowns: he's passed for at least three every time he's taken the field this season. Another player making a difference was Brendyn Shed, who rushed for 87 yards and a pair of scores.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Molina is set to challenge their familiar foe Newman Smith at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Creekview will face off against rival North Mesquite at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
