A Season-Best Performance from Dae'cion Echols Leads Muncie Central over Richmond

On Friday, Muncie Central got the W thanks in part to Dae'Cion Echols playing the best football he has all season. Echols rushed for 267 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 12.1 yards per carry, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. He was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 52 yards.

Richmond had to have seen this coming; the last time they saw Echols it was a similar story. Echols rushed for 90 yards and a touchdown on only nine carries the last time he and the Red Devils duked it out back in September of 2023.

Harrison found a leader in Jack Gonzalez as the squad took down Kokomo on Friday. Gonzalez was dynamite, making six total tackles. He really tore up the turf during one magnificent 89-yard run.

Harrison has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season. Gonzalez and Harrison will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Westfield at 7:00 p.m. on November 1st.

Keemarion Pollard's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Kokomo over Harrison

Kokomo was sadly handed a defeat on Friday, but Keemarion Pollard did his best to prevent it. Despite the loss, Pollard was still balling out as he rushed for 80 yards and two touchdowns.

Pollard and Kokomo will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on McCutcheon at 7:00 p.m. on November 1st. Pollard will face off against Tyler Brigham, the Mavericks' star running back. With so much talent on the field, fans are surely in for an exciting game. The only thing left to see is who brings home the W.

Jackson Mills continued his hot streak on Friday by dropping his tenth-straight game (dating back to last season) with at least six total tackles. He made 23 total tackles and defended a pass.

This year, Mills has averaged 12 total tackles per game. He's made a big improvement compared to last season: at this point last year, he was only averaging 7.33 total tackles per game.
