Baseball Recap: MacArthur Takes a Loss

MacArthur fought the good fight in their extra-innings game against Central Catholic on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They took an 8-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Buttons. The defeat continues a trend for the Brahmas in their meetings with the Buttons: they've now lost four in a row.

Sebastian Laboy-Rodriguez was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-2 with three RBI, one triple, and one run.

MacArthur's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Central Catholic, they pushed their record up to 2-0 with the victory, which was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season.

Coming up, MacArthur will venture away from home to challenge Boerne at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Central Catholic, they will host Reagan at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
