Buena came tearing into Thursday's game with six straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 36.2 points), and they left with even more momentum. They took their matchup with ease, bagging a 35-6 victory over the Mountain View Mountain Lions. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Colts also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2024.

A big part of Buena's win came down to the chemistry between Adelina Ortega and her top target Deztany Toyota-Villalobos. Ortega threw for 304 yards and four TDs while picking up 10.9 yards per attempt while Toyota-Villalobos gained 248 total yards and four touchdowns. Toyota-Villalobos was no stranger to the big play, cutting upfield on a catch that went for 64 yards.

One reason for the win was Buena's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for three sacks. In fact, those sacks all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Storm Ryan.

Buena's record is now 11-2. As for Mountain View, they now have a losing record of 5-6.

Buena wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 38-13 victory against Horizon on the 12th. Mountain View does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
