The Knights put the hurt on Skyview with a sharp 10-4 victory on Thursday. Considering the Knights have won ten contests by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Lauren Fettic made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out ten batters over six innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off five hits. She has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in eight consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one run.
In other batting news, Gracie Cammann was incredible, going 3-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and one double. Olivia Watt was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, one run, and one double.
Bishop Kelly was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .485. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in three consecutive games.
Meanwhile, after a string of six wins, Vallivue's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They wound up with the same score they had in their last game (8-7), but sadly the team found themselves on the wrong side of the score this time.
Ali Knowles made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with one home run and four RBI. Addyson Aguila also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triple of the season.
Bishop Kelly pushed their record up to 14-3 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.7 runs on average over those games. As for Vallivue, they suffered their first road loss, dropping their record down to 14-5.
Vallivue's hitters will have their work cut out for them on Tuesday. Bishop Kelly has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 9.2 strikeouts per game.
