Recap: Kelly Catholic Bulldogs vs. Frassati Catholic Falcons
The Kelly Catholic Bulldogs have not had quite the year their fans were hoping for to this point, but back-to-back wins may be a sign of good things to come. They walked away with a 55-46 win over Frassati Catholic on Monday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Kelly Catholic also won the last time the pair played last Friday.
Kelly Catholic's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Gates Jenkins, who scored 12 points along with five rebounds and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Blair Clarke, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 13 rebounds.
Kelly Catholic has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 13-24 record this season. As for Frassati Catholic, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 11-16.
Kelly Catholic does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Frassati Catholic, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Second Baptist at 7:30 p.m. on February 13th. Second Baptist has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 1,957 points over their last 27 contests.
