Basketball Recap: Poteau Wins Going Away Against Arkoma

Poteau won against Leflore last Wednesday with 38 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Thursday. The Poteau Pirates strolled past the Arkoma Mustangs with points to spare, taking the game 38-22. The Pirates have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Mustangs, too.

The win made it two in a row for Poteau and bumps their season record up to 3-14. As for Arkoma, they have also traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-11 record this season.

Poteau will venture away from home to face off against Stilwell at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Poteau is facing Stilwell at the right time seeing as Stilwell is stuck on a 14-game losing streak. As for Arkoma, they will welcome Keota at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
