Softball Recap: Marlboro County Bulldogs vs. Dreher Blue Devils

Marlboro County stacked an eighth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Tuesday. They never let the Dreher Blue Devils onto the board and left with a 10-0 victory. The high-scoring effort was just what Marlboro County needed considering they were shutout in their previous game.

Abby Quick made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and only one hit while striking out eight over five innings pitched. Quick has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive pitching appearances. Quick was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.

In other batting news, Terilynn Holmes was a standout: she scored three runs and stole three bases while going 1-for-2. Amir Bridges was another key contributor, scoring two runs and stealing three bases while getting on base in two of her three plate appearances.
