Volleyball Game Preview: Holy Redeemer Royals vs. Abington Heights Comets

The Holy Redeemer Royals will venture away from home to challenge the Abington Heights Comets at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Holy Redeemer is coming into the game hot, having won their last eight games.

On Tuesday, Holy Redeemer got the win against Crestwood by a conclusive 3-0.

Holy Redeemer never let Crestwood on the board, but things got pretty close in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-20, 25-21.

Meanwhile, Abington Heights earned a 3-1 victory over Valley View last Tuesday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Comets.

Abington Heights walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the fourth set). The final score came out to 25-20, 24-26, 25-18, 25-14.

Holy Redeemer's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 25-5. As for Abington Heights, their record now sits at 11-2.

Holy Redeemer was able to grind out a solid win over Abington Heights in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, winning 3-1. Will the Royals repeat their success, or do the Comets have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
