Baseball Game Preview: Superior Spartans vs. New Richmond Tigers

Superior is headed into Friday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Monday. They took a 13-10 hit to the loss column at the hands of Hermantown.

Meanwhile, New Richmond faced Hudson in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Tigers narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Raiders 7-6. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Tigers have posted since April 29th.

New Richmond's win bumped their record up to 14-4. As for Superior, their loss dropped their record down to 7-12.

Superior suffered a grim 17-0 defeat to New Richmond when the teams last played back in May of 2024. Can the Spartans avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
