Basketball Recap: Riverdale Drops Season-High Score on Vanlue

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Riverdale). They took their game on Friday with ease, bagging a 64-29 win over the Vanlue Wildcats. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Falcons have posted since January 19, 2024.

Several Wildcats players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Owen Roszman, who posted ten points and three steals. Brady Hamilton was another key player, putting up four points.

The win made it two in a row for Riverdale and bumps their season record up to 8-7. As for Vanlue, they have also traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-9 record this season.

Riverdale has already played their next matchup (against Waynesfield-Goshen), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Vanlue will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Elgin at 7:30 p.m.
