Soccer Recap: Bellingham Comes Up Short

Bellingham was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 15th straight loss. They fell 4-2 to the Blackstone-Millville Chargers. While losing is never fun, Bellingham can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Massachusetts soccer rankings (they are ranked 210th, while Blackstone-Millville are ranked 81st).

Lilli McGilvray wasn't going to let Blackstone-Millville walk away unscathed as she scored both of Bellingham's goals, bringing her season total up to eight goals.

Bellingham's defeat dropped their record down to 1-15. As for Blackstone-Millville, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-4-1 record this season.

Bellingham will head out to square off against Dover-Sherborn at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Blackstone-Millville, they will look to defend their home pitch on Friday against Whitinsville Christian at 4:00 p.m.
