Volleyball Recap: Nazareth Area Falls to Freedom in First Game of Season

Nazareth Area had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They came up short against the Freedom Patriots on Tuesday, falling 3-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Blue Eagles have suffered against the Patriots since October 16, 2021.

Nazareth Area was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the first set very close. The final score came out to 25-23, 25-17, 25-19.

Despite the loss, Nazareth Area saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Kylie Shereba had ten digs.

Looking ahead, Nazareth Area will look to takes advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they takes on Northampton at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Freedom, they will venture away from home to take on Easton Area at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
