Basketball Recap: Varnado Victorious

It was a proper cat-fight when Varnado took on International on Saturday. The Varnado Wildcats never let the International Panthers onto the board and left with a 2-0 win. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Wildcats have posted since February 9, 2024.

Varnado's win bumped their record up to 6-9. As for International, their defeat was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 2-14.

Varnado will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Pearl River at 7:20 p.m. on January 28th. As for International, they will welcome Fisher at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. International has insisted on making their lastfive contests complete nail-biters, turning in a record of 0-5 during that stretch of close contests.
