Piedmont took a seven-run loss the last time they faced off against Handley, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Bulldogs sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 5-4 win over the Tigers on Saturday. This was a revenge game for the Bulldogs: when they faced off against the Tigers back in March, they had to take a 11-4 defeat.

The victory got Piedmont back to even at 10-10. As for Handley, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 15-10.

Coming up, Piedmont will challenge Glencoe at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Handley, they will venture away from home to take on White Plains at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday.
