Softball Recap: Morgan Takes a Loss

Morgan came into their game on Thursday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Meadowbrook Colts, falling 11-1. Having soared to a lofty ten runs in the game before, the Raiders couldn't push the score so high this time.

Morgan's defeat dropped their record down to 7-10. As for Meadowbrook, they pushed their record up to 12-5 with the victory, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season.

Coming up, Morgan will challenge Tri-Valley at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Raiders' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Scotties have averaged an impressive 6.1 runs per game this season. As for Meadowbrook, they will take on Cambridge at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Colts are facing the Bobcats at the right time seeing as the Bobcats are stuck on a six-game losing streak.
