Recap: Douglass Astros vs. Carver Panthers
The Douglass Astros only won by two when they last took the court, which might have inspired the 46-point they dealt the Carver Panthers on Saturday. Douglass simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Carver 86-40 at home. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 44-16.
Jacob Mickell was his usual excellent self, scoring 17 points along with two steals. Another player making a difference was Zaqir Roberts, who scored nine points along with four steals.
The win made it two in a row for Douglass and bumps their season record up to 13-10. As for Carver, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-17.
