The Prospect Panthers will take on the Del Mar Dons at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Prospect is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.2 runs per game this season.

Prospect made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Christopher, but they still couldn't quite topple them. Prospect was the clear victor by a 13-6 margin over Christopher on Monday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Panthers considering their two-run performance the match before.

The team relied heavily on Bella Beltran, who went 3-for-4 with three runs, three RBI, and one triple. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Isa Shields, who scored a run while going 3-for-4.

Prospect was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .385. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Meanwhile, Del Mar was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They came up short against Pioneer, falling 17-2.

Del Mar saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Natalie Dixon, who went 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI.

Del Mar's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Prospect, their victory bumped their record up to 6-4.

Del Mar's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Prospect hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .352. It's a different story for Del Mar, though, as they've only averaged .191. Will they be able to contain Prospect's hitters?

Prospect took their win against Del Mar in their previous meeting back in May of 2023 by a conclusive 18-5. Does Prospect have another victory up their sleeve, or will Del Mar turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
