Baseball Recap: Moravian Academy Lions vs. Notre Dame-Green Pond Crusaders
Moravian Academy had lost nine straight at home, but on Tuesday they dropped their record down to 0-16 to make it ten. They came up short against the Notre Dame-Green Pond Crusaders, falling 9-1. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Crusaders this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 15-0 back in March.
As for Notre Dame-Green Pond, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-7 record this season. The result was nothing new for Notre Dame-Green Pond, who have now won five contests by seven runs or more so far this season.
For Notre Dame-Green Pond's part, Paul Smith made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Smith was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 1-for-1 with one double and one RBI.
