Baseball Recap: Lake Ridge Takes a Loss

Lake Ridge fell victim to Martin and their airtight pitching crew on Saturday. They took a 5-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Warriors. The Eagles' defeat continues a trend for the team, making it three in a row.

Lake Ridge got a good showing from Hayden Jones, who pitched 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Jones has been consistent for a while: he hasn't given up more than two hits in nine consecutive appearances.

Lake Ridge's loss dropped their record down to 8-14-3. As for Martin, they moved to 9-15-1 with that victory, which also ended their four-game losing streak.
