Basketball Recap: Covenant C Takes a Loss

Covenant C was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They took a blow against the Oak City Prep Bears, falling 87-25. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Bears this season, with their most recent defeat being a 65-43 loss two weeks ago.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Oak City Prep to victory, but perhaps none more so than Amazin Dixon, who on his way to 25 points along with eight assists and five boards. The contest was Dixon's 20th in a row with at least 15 points. Another player making a difference was Cam McNeil, who en route to 17 points in addition to seven assists and six steals.

Covenant C's defeat dropped their record down to 6-9. As for Oak City Prep, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 11-12.

As of now, neither Covenant C nor Oak City Prep have any future games scheduled.
