Soccer Game Preview: Andrew vs. Homewood-Flossmoor + How To Watch

The Andrew Thunderbolts will head out on the road to face off against the Homewood-Flossmoor Vikings at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Andrew's last five contests have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

While the 2-2 score might suggest a draw, it was Lockport who was credited with the victory on Saturday. The Porters got it done in the shootout by posting seven goals to Andrew's six. While losing is never fun, Andrew can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois soccer rankings (they are ranked 197th, while Lockport are ranked 30th).

Homewood-Flossmoor took a loss when they played away from home on Thursday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Saturday. Their defense stepped up to hand Thornton Fractional North/Thornton Fractional South a 2-0 shutout. The win was some much needed relief for Homewood-Flossmoor as it spelled an end to their four-match losing streak.

Homewood-Flossmoor's victory bumped their record up to 4-6-2. As for Andrew, they now have a losing record of 5-6-2.
