Volleyball Recap: Lathrop's Win on Saturday Extends Winning Streak to Six

Lathrop waltzed into their matchup on Saturday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the St. Joseph Notre Dame Pilots. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Spartans have posted since March 7th.

Leading Lathrop to victory were Elias Medel and Gabriel Faalii. Medel had eight digs and four aces, while Faalii had six kills, four digs, and two aces. Faalii is crushing it when it comes to kills: he's had at least six every time he's taken the court this season.

Lathrop's victory bumped their record up to 14-5. As for St. Joseph Notre Dame, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-4.

Lathrop has already played their next contest, a 2-1 defeat against Livingston on the 29th. As for St. Joseph Notre Dame, they will take on Head-Royce at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
