Football Game Preview: Harper Creek Beavers vs. Western Panthers

The Harper Creek Beavers will face off against the Western Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Harper Creek has three straight victories, Western has four straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

On Friday, Harper Creek made easy work of Kenowa Hills and carried off a 37-15 win. Considering the Beavers have won four games by more than 20 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Western faced off against Coldwater on Friday. The Panthers fell 28-21 to the Cardinals. Panthers fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team has lost against the Cardinals since Friday.

Western's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Harper Creek, their victory bumped their record up to 4-1.

Harper Creek strolled past Western when the teams last played back in October of 2024 by a score of 32-13. Will the Beavers repeat their success, or do the Panthers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
