Volleyball Recap: Segerstrom Comes Up Short

Segerstrom was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Costa Mesa Mustangs. The Jaguars were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Mustangs apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2024.

Segerstrom started the match hot and won the first two sets, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 19-25, 12-25, 25-19, 25-15, 15-7.

Segerstrom's defeat dropped their record down to 2-10. As for Costa Mesa, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-4 record this season.

Segerstrom has already played their next match, a 3-0 loss against Garden Grove on the 13th. Costa Mesa has also already played their next contest (against Laguna Hills), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
