Suffield Academy scored a stunning upset when it knocked off Cheshire Academy, 31-14. At the time, the Cats were ranked 14th in the state, while the Tigers were 34th.

The biggest upset of the week belonged to Suffield Academy, who took down 14th ranked Cheshire Academy, 31-14. Jake Lazarus threw for 165 yards and three touchdowns in the win.

Canterbury's dynamic duo of Donavon Jackson and Ryan Moore proved tough for Pomfret School to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Jackson threw for 176 yards and four touchdowns and Moore had 123 yards receiving. Julien Higgs helped Canterbury's passing attack out by catching four balls for 47 yards.

Brice McAllister was the most productive running back in Colonial this week. He ran for 207 yards on 31 carries as Andrew Gamere's team defeated the Griffins. Teammate Trent Bellows added to the ground attack by rushing for 44 yards.

Thanks to the talents of Lazarus and McAllister the Tigers have been able to do all sorts of things on offense. Lazarus leads the league in passing with 530 yards, while McAllister has rushed for 948 yards this season. Canterbury's Moore leads the league in receiving yards with 287 on 15 catches.

McAllister of the Suffield Academy is only 52 yards short of surpassing 1,000 rushing yards for the season.

A big matchup in the league this week will be when the Wildcats take on the Tigers. At the moment, Williston Northampton is in fifth, while Suffield Academy is in first.

Gunnery was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from ninth to sixth in the league. The Highlanders defeated Westminster 42-14 earlier in the week.
